50 new planets found by european space agency. this brings the total to 600, plus the 1200 maybes that are being investigated by the spitzer satellite.
even better news is that 40% of the systems checked had saturn-sized or smaller planets.
assuming that some systems have bigger-than-saturn planets, and other systems have planets we can't see yet, that suggests that more than half the stars have planets.
so billions of stars = billions of planets, and there are billions of galaxies. location location location.
