 I'm hoping to hear soon that the informal "yes" to my $12,000 offer on this house will now be a formal yes, so we can close by email next month. I just faxed some more documents that I hope will pin down the deal.
edit: did not get the house. first they asked for my highest and best offer, then they tried to get me to bump it up $400. I think they ended up selling it for less to someone else, which seems like squandering a government asset; it was a VA-owned home. I looking at a couple other houses for less.
