monarchs aren't just cute little critters. like a canary in a coal mine, they are a way to monitor your environment - if the monarchs die, it's not that safe for people either.

I see one movie a year. this year it was "the Equalizer". Denzel and Chloe.
Ok if you like explosions and shoot em ups. Denzel could play Obama.
His facial expressions bring some humour in between falling bodies. It's kind of "Taken 4."
I liked the movie and liked Denzel's main character, but the reason I paid for a ticket was Chloe.
She is not Hit-Girl in this movie, more of a redeemed-victim type.
Her part is small but sets up the rest of the action.
I have not seen the old TV show the movie is based on.

Also caught a few minutes of "Let's be Cops" by the New Girl cast, light fare
with a Wayans brother, Damon, and Jake Johnson as sidekick/partner. (sp)
Whoops, not a brother, a son. New Girl's Damon Wayons is the son of Damon Wayans who is in my favorite movie Earth Girls are Easy. I didn't get that sorted out till just now.

Rosh Hashanah (Hebrew: רֹאשׁ הַשָּׁנָה‎, literally "head of the year") is the Jewish New Year. The Biblical name for this holiday is Yom Teruah (Hebrew: יוֹם תְּרוּעָה‎, literally "day [of] shouting/raising a noise") or the Feast of Trumpets. It is the first of the High Holy Days or יָמִים נוֹרָאִים Yamim Nora'im ("Days of Awe") which usually occur in the early autumn of the Northern Hemisphere. Rosh Hashanah is a two-day celebration, which begins on the first day ofTishrei. The day is believed to be the anniversary of the creation of Adam and Eve, the first man and woman, and their first actions toward the realization of humanity's role in God's world. Rosh Hashanah customs include sounding the shofar (a hollowed-out ram's horn) and eating symbolic foods such as apples dipped in honey to evoke a "sweet new year".

These changes and the pending photo ID mandate have created a rallying cry for opponents of the Republican agenda at the General Assembly, anchoring the "Moral Monday" movement. It's also spawned four separate lawsuits — including three federal cases — that call the measure discriminatory to minority voters.

A panel of the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals will meet in Charlotte this week to hear arguments on an injunction to prevent elements in the law already implemented in the May primary from being used in the fall election.

"Our lawyers are battling in the courts, and we believe ultimately we will be victorious," the Rev. William Barber, president of the state NAACP, one lawsuit plaintiff. "We're deeply concerned about the (voter) suppression that all these laws could cause."
