i have listened to so many amory lovins talks over the years that i thought the term 'negawatt' was in general parlance, but it turns out it's fairly obscure.
the general idea is when faced with increased demand for power, we think in terms of solar or win or nukes of gas or coal, but the cost-efficient solution usually turns out to be investing in using the watts we alreay have now more efficiently.
An example is the LED 75 watt bulb to replace an incandescent [edison] or cfl bulb.
so that's why at stewart's salvage company we sell light bulbs. four bucks for a 100 watt type bulb, 2 bucks for a 60 watt type bulb. how many do you want?
